Simply Sophisticated
Vibrant Color, Intriguing Texture, Inspired Design.

In a midcentury tower with sweeping views of the East River, Roosevelt Island, and the United Nations, designer Aria Jahanshahi of OPA Architecture created a penthouse apartment for a Canadian family of five who wanted a forever home in New York City. The clients had only one firm design request: a red kitchen. It became the emotional and visual anchor of the home. A fully integrated suite of appliances by Gaggenau complete this stylish and light-filled space.

Left: Paula Greer, Senior Designer for Bilotta Kitchen & Home created this bold kitchen using custom cabinetry painted black with floating shelves in natural walnut, and Emtek hardware in brushed brass, through Ferguson Home. This modern kitchen by Munich-based architecture and design studio Holzraush is a study in minimalism in an historic building in Frankfurt, Germany. Industrial elements are softened by materials such as stained wood, terrazzo, and warm-beamed stainless steel. 400 Series Ovens, dishwasher, and warming drawers, and Vario refrigeration, all by Gaggenau. For this kitchen in the Art of the Home show house in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, Naiane Farrell of Florense incorporated the brand’s streamlined, modern cabinetry to create a timeless and functional space. Designer Dorka Standard collaborated with the team and created an inviting breakfast nook and seating area that echoes the cabinetry’s structure and color. Appliances by Wolf and Sub-Zero.
