Sanctuary

Wellness begins in the home, in the room where self care comes first.

Sanctuary

Brianne Bishop takes wellness and self care seriously, so much so that she has creaated an offshoot of her design practice to focus on the subject, called Bishop Street.
Left: For a family in Wicker Park, Bishop employed texture, natural materials, and a soothing palette to create an environment that calms the nervous system.
Right: In this Bucktown primary retreat, she created a timeless, spa-like eperience with a steam shower and a soaking tub big enough for two. Faucets by Grohe, through K&B Galleries. Tile by Artistic Tile.

Sanctuary

Designer Jennifer Kole of Jenami Designs created this primary bath in a prewar building on Lakeshore Drive. The original space was split into two small toilet and sink areas with two separate doors and a single, shared shower. Kole opened up the footprint, created a single entrance, relocated all the plumbing, and repositioned the shower to become the focal point. In doing so, she gave the shower an iconic view of Lake Shore Drive and Lake Michigan. The shower is clad in tile from Artistic Tile, with fixtures from Kallista.
