Glorious style in the bath

The Colvin collection is a collaboration between storied, UK-based Drummonds and celebrated designer Steven Gambrel. The eight-piece collection of bathroom storage and accessories is designed by Gambrel and handcrafted at the Drummonds foundry. The pieces are strong and architectural, inspired by Gambrel’s layered, architectural style. Shown here, the waste bin, bathroom shelf, robe hook, and mirror.

For this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York, designer Vanessa Deleon created “Smoke & Mirrors,” an opulent primary bath with lavish Art Deco details and moody glamour. Centered in the room is a claw-foot tub from Kohler in emerald green, through Ferguson. Golden faucets, also from Kohler, glimmer against the deep-green wallcovering, and deeply-veined Nero Marquina marble vanities, and marble mosaic tile, both from Artistic Tile, add high drama.
